MR. AND MRS. CARPENTER

I am so excited to share Heather and Nick’s beautiful day with you all! A few years ago Heather came to me for some updated portraits with her and her sweet pup, Mila. During her session she was telling me about this WONDERFUL guy she just met, Nick. If I do recall correctly, I believe she was going to meet him that night to carve some pumpkins, and I could tell how excited she was about him. Fast forward a year or so later, and here I am photographing them saying, “ I do.” I love that I have gotten to see their story develop, and getting to know them better has been an absolute delight. Heather’s fun energy and Nicks calming presence couldn’t be more perfect for each other. They both share a deep friendship and faith that has brought them closer together. They lift one another up with thoughtful gestures and sweet words that show how they are always there for the other. It was an honor getting to witness such wonderful people become a family and start their journey together.

This November wedding was full of sunshine, peace, laughter and absolute joy. Everyone was partaking in the wedding day bliss by the time I arrived. The atmosphere was full of excitement for these two and it was very clear why. Nick and Heather simply adore one another. You can see how thankful they are to have each other. Their wedding was a testimony of God’s greater plan for us, and they made sure to give God the glory and praise in their ceremony. They will always tell you how God brought them together and how thankful they are to Him for answered prayers. Their wedding day was a moment to give God the glory for what He has done in both of their lives, and that is something truly worth celebrating!

We could not have asked for more perfect weather (especially in November). There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the temperature was a warm 75 degrees. Every detail of the wedding came together perfectly! I was in love with every selection they chose, the baby’s breath, greenery, earrings, shoes and dress were all beautiful. I couldn’t wait to capture some detail pictures as soon as I got there.

My jaw dropped when I saw Heather’s dress! She was SO BEAUTIFUL! All of her jewelry and accessories chosen, complimented her dress perfectly. She was such an elegant, timeless bride.

I always love the first look between the father and bride! It is such a sweet moment to have captured and this was no exception. He was so happy to see her.

While Nick and Heather decided to wait to see each other when she walked down the aisle, they still had a chance to pray together before the ceremony. Nick opted for a blind fold and Heather kept her eyes closed as they were both guided by their siblings to this spot. It gave them the opportunity to have a quick chat before saying I do.

There is a super funny story behind this last picture, normally with sparklers and exit photos there is a certain rush to get the perfect shot. The sparklers they used that evening were LONG LASTING! I had them run through 2-3 times just because we could, and everyone was totally up for it too. I always appreciate having couples who are up for anything and the willingness of their family and friends to participate.

It was a day to remember, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to serve Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter. It was a beautiful day and I couldn’t think of a more deserving couple to celebrate. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for your future, and I pray He continues to bless you both! Thank you for allowing me to capture your love story, Heather & Nick!
